William Raymond Jones, Jr.

William Raymond Jones, Jr. entered his eternal home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born December 22, 1940, in Glen, MS to William and Gladys Jones. He graduated from Farmington High School and served 4 years in the Air Force. After the Air Force, he worked for AT&T for 42 years and then for Perkins Motorplex during retirement. Raymond was member of Oakfield Baptist Church for over 50 years where he had served as deacon, Sunday School teacher and various other capacities.

He is survived by his children, son, Tony (Karen) Jones of Medina, TN; daughter, Tammy (Eric) Arnold of Medina, TN; three grandchildren, Rachel (Matthew) Wilbanks of Finley, TN, Emily Jones of Martin, TN, and August Arnold of Medina, TN; one step-grandchild, Eric Arnold, Jr. of Orlando, FL; and dear friend, Martha Scott of Medina, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 44 years, Sherry, and a brother, James Jones.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Oakfield Baptist Church with Bro. Mickey Jackson officiating. Burial will follow with full Military Honors at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, TN. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 11 A.M. until service time.

Serving as pallbearers are: Matthew Wilbanks, Austin Winn, Brad Clapp, Joe Alexander, Stephen Diamond, Sean Pazin.

Honorary pallbearers are: Andre Atkins, Jacob Calhoun, David Criswell, Tim Perkins.
