November 11, 2018, I lost my beloved son, Robert Damon Kerns. Years prior to his death, he expressed he wanted to be brought home to Tennessee to be buried. Viewing funeral homes and cemeteries, Robert expressed his choices to be Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home and Centerville Cemetery in Medina. Robert was excited to pick out a picture of himself to have etched on his headstone, being very pleased with the results.
Not knowing the first steps to be taken at Robert's passing, I turned to Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. Mr. Clayton White, Owner/Director, went far above expectations in his advising me, conversing with Robert's children, Serena and Taz, and the funeral director in Mississippi. Release of Robert's body had to be obtained, since legally his children are his next of kin, and arrangement for transport. Clayton's expertise of calmness, professionalism and knowledge with all the controversy and time limitation involved, never once even appearing to lose his cool or raise his voice, was unbelievable. Being so patient, allowing the necessary time. Mr. Barry Bland, Director Assistant, showed the caskets and vaults, giving all time needed to decide, being very calm, never impatient, and answering any questions. Barry oversaw the visitation, funeral service and transport of body to the cemetery and the service, making sure everything was to my expectations. Also assuring me there would be no problems, but if any problem should occur, assuring me they were prepared to handle. Barry took the time to explain how things would be handled after the service prior to going to the cemetery. Both Clayton and Barry are wonderful, patient, considerate men going far above expectations. They stood by my side.
I highly recommend Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home, Medina, TN, in all aspects, especially the concern, respect and professionalism administered by Mr. Clayton White and Mr. Barry Bland. I thank God for these two and their services.
