Mr. Walter Brantley

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Brantley will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson with military funeral honors.

Mr. Brantley, age 73, passed away at his home December 31, 2017.

He was born in Jackson to the late Walter Lee Brantley and Euince Grissom Brantley. Mr. Brantley was a graduate of Northside High School; served 28 years in the TN Army National Guard; retired from the City of Jackson Fire Department as a Captain with 33 years of service; was a member of Masonic Lodge # 332.

Mr. Brantley was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shannon Brantley; brothers, Bill, Elton, and James Brantley; sister, Evelyn Payne.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Dietzel Brantley; sons, Doug Brantley, Jason Brantley (Danitta); daughter, Denise Sharp (Bobby); sister, Jane King (DeLloyd); brother, Wayne Brantley (Susan); seven grandchildren, Will Brantley, Nickolas Brantley (Alicia), Jerrad Brantley (Kellsi), J. T. Brantley, Noah Sharp, Ian Sharp, Erin Sharp; two great-grandchildren, Stori Brantley, Hallie Brantley.

Visitation with the Brantley family will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Jackson-Madison County Humane Society.
