Victor Dewayne Epperson

Funeral services for Mr. Victor Dewayne Epperson will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 1 P.M. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be from 11 A.M. till service time.

Victor, age 62, passed away at his home near Medina on Thursday, September 21, 2023.  He was born in Medina to the late Raymond and Mary Lorene Morgan Epperson.  He graduated from Medina High School “Class of 1979”. In 2008, he married Rita Hughes and they resided in the house he grew up in. Victor worked in factory maintenance until he was disabled by a stroke. He was a star basketball player, enjoyed horseback riding and hunting, but loved his family and friends deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Randall, Lynn, Jimmy, and Jerry Epperson; sister, Annie Bell McMillan Toone Epperson; nephew, Josh Epperson; niece, Holly McMillan White.

Victor is survived by his wife of 15 years, Rita Epperson; son, Justin (Morgan) Epperson; daughters, Rachel Barton, Tiffany Redmond, Erica (Cody) Worrell, Sasha (Chris) Bohanan; brother, Tim (Sherry) Epperson; sisters, Johnnie Higdon, Connie (William) Bland, Virginia (Bruce) Gilley, and Ronda (Chuck) Stewart; grandchildren, Lydia, Duncan, Elijah, Nicklaus, Breanna, Cody, Natalie, Kynleigh, Hadleigh, and Bentley; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers to serve are Levi and Chuck Stewart, Rodney, Lance, and Jason Epperson, Mark Bland.

Honorary pallbearers are Colton Stewart, Thomas Cash, Russell and Michael Epperson, Brian and Ross McMillan, Barry Bland.
