A come-and-go memorial gathering to celebrate the life of Mr. Tommy O’Connor will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home.

Tommy, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family.

Born in Humboldt, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William F. “Billy” O’Connor and May (Glosson) O’Connor. Tommy was a beloved and familiar presence in the Humboldt community. He began working at City Drug Co. during high school and continued there for many years. He later owned and operated City Florist on Main Street, a business he lovingly ran for several years. After selling the flower shop, he returned to his roots at City Gifts (formerly City Drug Co.), and later rejoined the floral industry alongside his longtime friend and colleague Margaret Hopkins at Flowers of Distinction in downtown Humboldt.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ellen Thornton.

He is lovingly remembered by his niece, Sandi Pickard; nephew, Mark O’Connor; great-niece, Elizabeth Nash (Hunter); great-nephews, Matthew Pickard (Sarah Kate) and William Pickard (Jacie); and great-great-nieces and nephews, Josie Ellen Nash, Caroline Nash, Emmie Pickard, Shepherd Pickard, and Sutton Pickard. The family also anticipates the arrival of a great-great-niece, Eliza Mae Pickard, in July.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice in Tommy’s honor.
