Shannon Wayne Betts

Funeral services for Mr. Shannon Betts will be held at 3 P.M. on Thursday, May 29, 2025 in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Brad Patterson officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 1 P.M. till service time.

Mr. Betts, age 69, passed away at his home in Medina on Monday, May 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Willard and Mildred Cash Betts. He graduated from Medina High School “Class of 76” and began a career in HVAC that would last over 50 years. When not working, Shannon enjoyed spending time at the lake or river fishing and spending time with the “Grands” and all of his family.

Shannon was preceded in death by his parents; former wife of 36 years, Phyllis Betts; sisters, Brenda Fay and Georgia Nell; nephew, Tommy "Buddy" Betts, Jr.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Brad Patterson (Tracy); brother, Tommy Betts, Sr.; grandchildren, Caitlyn Ross (Ethan), Ty Patterson, Ellis Patterson (Abby); great grandchildren, Paisley and Presley Patterson, Elliott and Carter Ross; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
