Robert Hill

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Hill will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 12 P.M. in the chapel of Replogle~Lawrence Funeral Home, with Bro Steve Hemann officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads with full Military Honors. Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 4:30 P.M. till 7 P.M. and again on Thursday from 11 A.M. till service time.

Mr. Hill, age 79, passed away Friday evening, September 20, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness.

Robert was born in Humboldt, TN to the late Jessie and Ruby Joyce Hill. After his school years, he joined the U.S. Navy where he would spend 30 years before retiring. During this time he served his country in Vietnam and was awarded for his service to country. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a welder at Devilbiss in Jackson. He enjoyed bowling, playing on the computer, eating (known to his family as “my little fat buddy”) and all who knew him knew he loved all his family dearly.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death his brothers, Jessie Hill, Jr., Billy Hill, Danny Hill, Tommy Hill, Edward Hill; sisters, Martha Baker, Patsy Landers; grandchildren, Alana Hudson and Jennifer Hudson; great grandchild, Amado Walton.

Robert is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vickie Webb Hill; sons, Michael Hill, Robert Hill, Jr. and wife Christy, David Hill Figueroa and wife Tyra, Douglas Pickard and wife Cecilly; daughters, Dawn Raymo and husband Todd, Celinda Bell and husband Don, D’Angela Fowler and husband William, Melony Hudson and husband Robert; 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. 

Pallbearers to serve are: Robert Smith, Ryan Smith, Austin Hill, Matthew Hill, Blake Hill, Wyatt Scheller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either the cancer organization or veterans organization of your choice.
