Rickey Coleman

Graveside services for Mr. Rickey Coleman, 71, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Hopewell Cemetery near Medina with Kenny Perry officiating.

Rickey, formerly of Humboldt, passed away in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

James Richard Coleman was born in Milan, TN to the late George Keaton and Mary Adeline (Boswell) Coleman. He was a graduate of Medina High School. After high school Rickey entered law enforcement where he achieved the rank of Chief of the Humboldt Police Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Tyner.

He is survived by his daughter, Lori Ann Coleman; grandchildren, Katherine Shields and Rachel Shields; brothers, Johnny Coleman and wife Barbara, Johnny Boswell and wife Shelia; nieces, Stacey Mathis Sharp, Kristy Mathis Brogdon, Kimberly Boswell White, Jennifer Russell, Angela Hultman, Mary Coleman; great-nephew, Keaton Odle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Humboldt Police Department Shop with a Cop program, 1421 Osborne St., Humboldt, TN 38343.
