Rebecca Ann Gill May of Jackson, Tennessee peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family on August 27th, 2023 at the age of 79 after a long illness. Rebecca, or Becky as she liked to be called, was born on April 7th, 1944 to E.J. and Margaret Gill in Humboldt, Tennessee and grew up in Rutherford, Tennessee. She later met her soulmate, Dennis Wayne May of Jackson, Tennessee and they were married in 1963 until his death in 2018. They settled in Bartlett, Tennessee where Becky worked for the Hunter Fan Co. and later for Verizon as a customer service manager. Becky and Dennis moved to Jackson, Tennessee after retirement where they spent the rest of their years together.

She leaves her daughter, Denise May Mullins (Perry) of Jackson, Tennessee. She also leaves her grand-daughter, Tiffany Mullins Collins (Josh) and 2 great-grandchildren, Sam Riley Collins and Lily Ann Collins, also of Jackson.

Becky spent her life in service to her Lord through her commitment to her church. During her lifetime, she was a member of Rutherford Methodist Church, Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Liberty Grove Baptist Church and Meridian Baptist Church. Serving her family and her church were her greatest joys and she was a fierce and loyal friend. While her smile and quick wit will be missed, she left a lifetime of wonderful memories for family and friends.

A celebration of her life with family and friends is being planned and will be held at a later date.
