Larry B. Cochran

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Cochran will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the sanctuary of Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don Dyer and Rev. Kenny Spray officiating. Burial will follow in Latham’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Cochran, 82, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Spring Creek to the late Robert “Oscar” Cochran and Mary Allie Meals Cochran Grissom. Larry was a retired electrician and also retired from Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after 17 years. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Medina Masonic Lodge and Jackson Masonic Lodge # 45, IBEW 835, beekeepers association, and loved to garden, hunt, and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, James Harrison Grissom.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan Hutson Cochran; children, Brad Cochran, Tim Cochran and wife Carol, Teresa Box and husband Bob, Lisa Rogers and husband Cuba; grandchildren, Ashten, Hailie, Grant, Hillary, Ryan, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Michael Wayne Mincher, III, Hadley Jane Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Spring Creek Baptist Church, Hospice of West Tennessee, or charity of your choice.
