Lorene King

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene King will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church with Bro. Landon Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. King, age 94, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Bells Nursing Home in Bells, TN.

She was born in Gibson County, TN to the late Ernest Quinn and Lillian Lovell Quinn. Mrs. King was a retired floral designer and former owner of King’s Florist in Medina. After retiring from her shop she spent another 17 years working in the floral department at Kroger. Lorene loved her Lord and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Lee King; son, Robert Lee King; daughter, LaVern King; siblings, Altie Kerns, Jerry Quinn, Yvonne Sanders, Clarence (P. A.) Quinn, Frances Spencer, Billy Quinn.

She is survived by her son, Danny King and wife Jeanie; daughters, Darnell Waggoner, Pat Brady and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Tammy Vickers and husband Jason, Tom Waggoner, Kim Crews and husband Chad, Michael King, Adam King and wife Aerial, Jeremy Brady and wife Lindsay; 14 great-grandchildren.

Those honoring her as pallbearers will be: Tom Waggoner, Jason Vickers, Jeremy Brady, Chad Crews, Adam King, Landon Vickers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friendship Baptist Church.
