Lisa Michelle Daniel

Lisa Michelle Daniel, age 54, formerly of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10 at Skyline Church of Christ, Jackson, TN. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the service at 2 p.m. and burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery near Medina, TN. Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home is in charge of the burial. 

Lisa Michelle Daniel was born October 23, 1968, in Jackson, TN to the late Douglas and Joyce Daniel. Lisa graduated from South Side High School, Jackson, TN with a diploma of specialized education. She then received vocational training at the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center in Smyrna, TN. Lisa was employed by Madison Haywood Developmental Services for sixteen years. While living in Nashville, TN, Lisa was employed by Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee. In 2013 Lisa was chosen as one of the Ambassadors of Goodwill for the community. Her smiling face appeared on calendars, billboards, and semi-truck trailers that transported goods for Goodwill.

Lisa was active in Girls Scouts and Special Olympics – participating in swimming, softball throw, bowling, and gymnastics. She loved her church family and Alabama football. 

Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Joyce Daniel. She is survived by her sisters, Sylvia Masters (Ron) of Flint, TX, Linda Herriman (John) of Jackson, TN, and Darlene Millson of Huntsville, AL. She had 4 nieces, Jessica Rich (Clay) of Grapevine, TX, Rachel McNair (Jon) of White Settlement, TX, Kamryn Lindley of Chicago, IL, and Melissa Shavers of Huntsville, AL. She had five great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lisa’s memory to the Downs Syndrome Association of West Tennessee, P. O. Box 10685, Jackson, TN 38308 or to Skyline Church of Christ, 1024 Skyline Dr., Jackson,TN 38301 for the youth program for a permanent Friendship bench for the outside youth area.
