Larry Dean Shaw

Graveside services for Mr. Larry Dean Shaw will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Hopewell Cemetery with Chad Ezell officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. 

 

 Mr. Shaw, age 83, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

 

 He was born in Gleason, TN to the late John Mitchell Shaw and Mamie Sue Maynard Shaw. He was a 1957 graduate of Gleason High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Shaw furthered his education at Freed-Hardeman, David Lipscomb, and The University of Tennessee at Martin. Larry had a full career in education. He was a retired school teacher, principal, and Superintendent of Special Education. He also retired from insurance sales. Larry loved his Lord and had previously been a preacher for Gleason Church of Christ in Gleason, TN and Lebanon Church of Christ in Dresden, TN. Larry was a member of Main Street Church of Christ. He loved yard work, reading, going on bus tours and cruises.

 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ronnie Shaw, Jimmy Shaw.

 

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Sue Barnett Shaw; sons, Todd Shaw, Mitch Shaw; step-son, Mark Barnett and wife Katie; step-daughters, Cindy Rauchle and husband Tim, Rhonda Hunter; sister, Brenda Hopper and husband Tommy; grandchildren, Noah Shaw, Megan Rutherford, Nick Shaw, Katie Shaw, Ashley Erdmann, Dallas Hunter, Amanda Garcia, Clay Rauchle, Shayne Rauchle; great-grandchildren, Jonah Sand, John Erdmann, Joey Erdmann, Jordan Erdmann, Olivia Garcia, Elayna Garcia, Andrew Garcia.
