Kay Carolyn South O"Daniel

Funeral services for Mrs. Kay O’Daniel will be held in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home at 12 P.M. on Thursday, September 18, 2025 with Bro. Mickey Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery near Medina. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 5 P.M. till 7 P.M. and again on Thursday from 11 A.M. till service time.

Mrs. O’Daniel, age: 86, went to her heavenly home as she was surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at NHC in Milan.

Kay was born in Fayette, AL to the late Vermon and Nora Smith South. She has been married to the love of her life, Jim O’Daniel for 67 years. After 28 years of service, Kay retired from working in the business office at Milan Hospital. Her favorite activities included working in her flower beds, cooking, canning, and attending services at Milan First Baptist Church; and yes, spoiling family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Max South; sisters, Betty Walls and an infant sister.

Kay is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, James “Jim” O’Daniel; son, Randy (Krista) O’Daniel; daughter, Karen (Roger) Kee; sister, Martha (Howard) Lovell; grandchildren, Shane (Alyssa) Kee, Britton (Mitch) Stockdale, Jamye (Brandon) Roberts; great grandchildren, Caroline Stockdale, Roman Kee; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Pallbearers to serve are: Brandon Roberts, Mitch Stockdale, Shane Kee, Clay Webb, Mike Potter, Mike Humphrey. Honorary pallbearer: Howard Lovell.
