Katherine Sunshine Scruggs

Memorial services for Mrs. Sunshine Scruggs will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Follis Chapel. Visitation will be held prior from 1 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Scruggs, 93, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at AHC Avondale in Humboldt.

She was born in Gibson, TN to the late Henry H. Hensley and Estelle (Price) Hensley. Mrs. Scruggs was retired from Trenton Special School District and was a longtime member of Follis Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Finis Scruggs; siblings, Wayne Hensley, Almeda Harris, Marie Patterson.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Cupples and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Brad Scruggs and wife Diane, Alisha Jamieson; 5 great-grandchildren, Shanna Nelson, Hanna Griggs, Bradley Jamieson, Zach Scruggs, David Jamieson; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
