James Thomas Barnes
Funeral services for Mr. James Barnes will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. George McMinn officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Yard Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Barnes, age 71, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Madison County to Floyd Eugene Barnes and Doris Evelyn Mathis Barnes. James was a graduate of Northside High School, class of 1967, and an electrician by trade.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Randel Eugene Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Elaine Stanley Barnes; son, Kevin Barnes; mother, Doris Barnes; sister, Donna Epperson; grandchildren, Jackson Douglas (Allie), Sara Barnes, Olivia Brook Barnes; great-grandchildren, Piper and Memphis Douglas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude.
