David, age 44, passed away peacefully at his home in Medina, TN on Saturday, October 14, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born in Pikeville, KY to the late Gene David Slone, Sr. and Sandra Kay Pauley Slone.  Since age 12, he was raised by his dad, Lon Douglas Gibson and mom, Sandra Gibson in Huntsville, AL where graduated from Grissom High School. David has worked as a CNA for the last 25 years, most recently for West TN Healthcare Encore Rehab in Jackson.  He enjoyed fishing, swimming, any beach, but he mainly loved spending time with his family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Marty and Anita Fitzpatrick.

He is survived by his spouse of over 20 years, Jeff Fitzpatrick; son, Dakota Fitzpatrick-Slone; daughter, Lily Elizabeth Slone (mother, Stephanie Jones); sister, Jessica Slone Smith (Chris); brother, Gene Michael Slone (Santana); sister-in-law, Tammy Huff (Tim); nieces, Courtney and Ashley Larkin, Kayleigh and Mckenzie Smith; nephews, Zayden Smith, Jaxon and Maddox Slone; grand-niece, Arvaya Johnson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
