Funeral services for Mr. Ferdie Widner will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at New Covenant Pentecostal Church in Medina with Carroll Taylor, Steven Clenney, and Jason Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens.
Mr.Widner, age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, GA.
He was born in Arkansas to the late Forrest and Celia Reams Widner.
Mr. Widner is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Jean Widner;children, Kenneth Widner and wife Vilma, Glenn Widner and wife Dawn, Mark Widner and wife Dawn, Melonie Taylor and husband Devin; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the Widner family will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017, at the church and again on Saturday from 3 p.m. until service time.
