Evelyn Pickard

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Pickard will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Sellers officiating. Entombment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens near McKenzie. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Pickard, age 70, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Sherwood, TN to the late John Henry and Lizzie Simmons Barnes. Evelyn was retired from the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Annie Kovalsky, Doris Suddon, Alice Woods; grandchildren, Alana Hudson, Jennifer Hudson.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 14 years, Jerry Pickard; children, Ruby Clare and husband Bill, Christy Scheller and husband Andy, Jeri Anne Dowdy and husband Allen, Melony Hudson and husband Robert, Doug Pickard and wife Cecilly; sisters, Betty Foster, Pearline Freeman, Johnnie Overturf; grandchildren, Kayne, Danner, Ashley, Wyatt, Jesse, Cody, Angelica, Kayla, Gracie, Brooklyn; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Peyton, Thomas, Archer, Amelia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
