Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy McCaslin, fondly known as "Lukey", will be held at 3 pm Monday, February 13, 2017, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Humboldt with Rev. Chuck Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt.
Mrs. McCaslin, age 86, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.
She was born in Jackson to the late Dwight and Ada Seavers Gardner. Dorothy was the office manager for the family business, Humboldt Marble & Granite; wife of former Humboldt Mayor Tom McCaslin, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Steve and Mike McCaslin; granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Ballard; sister, Josie Fulghum.
She is survived by her children, Kay Ballard and husband Ray, Tony McCaslin and wife Jennie, Kathy McCaslin, John McCaslin; sister, Peggy Allen; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 5 until 7 pm and on Monday, February 13, from 2 pm until service time.
