Funeral services for Mrs. Darthie Alexander, age 86, of Cedar Grove, will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Robert Barger officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery in Cedar Grove. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday from 1 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Alexander passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Milan General Hospital.

Darthie was a graduate of Northside High School, Class of 1952. She was retired from nursing at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Darthie was a loving mother and was a caregiver to everyone, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alexander, Jr.; parents, Ben Denny Barnes and Mildred Hurley Barnes; daughter, Nancy Clarke; brothers, Carroll and Gordon Barnes; sister, Arlene Keen.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Alexander and wife Claudia, of Medina, Roger Alexander and wife Amy, of Cedar Grove; daughters, Lorraine Hickerson and husband Robby, of Milan, Pam Tutor and husband Jerry, of Lexington; grandchildren, Jessica Richardson, Jordan Alexander, Monica Crews, Angie Hart, Kerry Jones, Destenee Hays, Kellie Hopewell, Celisa Williford, Robyn Coffman, Wes Tutor, Jennifer Tutor, Crystal Scrivner, Amanda Alexander; 25 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.
