Mr. Calvin James Blancett
Medina,TN- Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Blancett, age 83, will be held 3 pm Monday, May 23, 2016 in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Landon Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
Mr. Blancett died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Newport, AR to the late John Morgan Blancett and Madgie Alleen Trentham Blancett. Mr. Calvin was educated in Craighead County Schools; veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army; member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Alan Blancett; brother, Johnny Blancett.
He is survived by his wife, Minda Blancett; daughters, Linda Newcom, Caroline McAdoo, Terri Carmichael; sons, Randy, Mark, and Jon Blancett; step-children, Jan Knolton, Kay Coleman, Sue Fry; brothers, Virgil, Bob, Billy, Jerry, and Glenn Blancett; sister, Marlene Parton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
