Billy Morgan

Graveside services for Mr. William “Billy” Morgan will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Hopewell Cemetery near Medina with Bro. Billy Elder officiating.

Mr. Morgan, age 79, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness.

Billy was born near Medina to the late William Guy Morgan and Nina Mae Epperson Morgan.  He attended the local school before the family moved to Nutbush, TN where he continued his education. Billy worked many years at Scates Radiator in Brownsville and always farmed while working.  He was especially fond of raising his tasty tomatoes which he gave to family and friends. Also he enjoyed woodworking, cars, cats, and TV.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 44 years, Janie Glover Morgan; brothers, Sammy Morgan and Guy Eugene Morgan; sisters, Nola Mae Morgan, Dinah Shore Morgan, Judy Ramm, and Vira Lou Vincent.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Morgan; sisters, Charlotte Jarvis and Sue Hawkins; many nephews and cousins and extended family.

Honorary pallbearers are: Robert Tims, Mark Jarvis, Daniel Jarvis, William Jarvis, Chris Jarvis, Timmy Morgan, John Charles Bates, and Michael Bates.
