Funeral services for Mr. Ted Baker will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Denning officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. Sunday until service time at the church.

Mr. Baker, age 76, passed away at his daughter’s home Wednesday, July 29, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Madison County to the late Opal Odell Baker and Blondell Sanders Baker. He attended local schools and graduated from Northside High School, class of 1962. Mr. Ted was retired from Wade Electric. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 29 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Abel Baker; son, John Michael Baker; siblings, Clyde Baker, David Baker, Stell Emison.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Reid and husband Scott, Linda Bland and husband Mark; brother, Tony Baker and wife Kay; sisters, Jean Bledsoe, Nell Jobe, Mary Blackwell and husband Mark; grandchildren, John, Elisabeth, and Emilie Reid, Brittany, Mark Hunter Bland and wife Shelby, Hunter Hays.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Antioch Cemetery.
