Ron lived a life defined by service, duty, courage, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Edward Allen will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home, with Rev. Steven Fonville officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in the Edison Community of Gibson County.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4 until 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen, 61, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Affectionately known as Ron, Mr. Allen lived a life defined by service, duty, courage, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Whether wearing the uniform of the United States Army, serving in the Air National Guard, or answering the call as a first responder, Ron devoted much of his life to protecting and serving his country and his community.

His commitment to service began with the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for 14 years. During those years, Ron embraced the responsibilities and sacrifices that come with military service, carrying with him the discipline, dedication, and sense of duty that would remain hallmarks of his character throughout his life.

For Ron, service was not simply a chapter of his life-it was a way of life.

His military service did not end with the Army. Ron continued answering the call to serve for another 18 years as a member of the Air National Guard. In total, he devoted more than three decades of his life to military service-14 years in the Army followed by 18 years in the Air National Guard. His combined 32 years of military service represented far more than time spent in uniform; it was a reflection of the values by which he lived. Ron understood the importance of commitment, teamwork, responsibility, and standing ready when his country and fellow citizens needed him.

For Ron, service was not simply a chapter of his life-it was a way of life.

That dedication naturally carried over into his civilian career. He was employed with the Nashville Airport Emergency Response, where he continued his mission of protecting others and responding when emergencies arose. Throughout his career, Ron worked across the fields of police, fire, and emergency medical services, including paramedic service. His experience in all three areas gave him a unique understanding of what it meant to be a first responder and to be there for people during some of the most difficult and uncertain moments of their lives.

Ron's career reflected a rare breadth of experience. From military service to emergency response, police work, firefighting, and EMS/paramedic service, he repeatedly placed himself in positions where others depended upon him. He knew the importance of remaining calm in challenging circumstances, working alongside others, and putting the needs of those he served before his own.

Those who knew Ron will remember not only the uniforms he wore or the jobs he held, but the person behind them-a man who dedicated his life to service and who understood the responsibility that came with being someone others could count on. His legacy is found in the years he gave to his country, the communities he served, and the countless lives touched through his work.

Away from his many years of service, Ron enjoyed the simple pleasure of playing golf and fishing. It provided him time to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and share fellowship with others. While service was such an important part of his life, those close to him also knew the man beyond the uniform-a husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda (Koffman) DeBell.

He leaves behind his wife, Anita Todd Allen; step-children, Kristopher Todd and Kayla Jackson and her husband, Zack; step-grandchild, Liam Jackson; sister, Neresa Lee; and niece, Faith Lee Greer.

Ronald Edward Allen leaves behind a legacy measured not only in years, but in service. For 32 years, he answered the call to serve his country through the United States Army and Air National Guard. He then continued that same commitment through a career dedicated to emergency response and public safety. His life was one of readiness, responsibility, and service to others.

Though his time in uniform has come to an end, the impact of a life spent serving others will endure. He will be remembered with gratitude and honor by those who had the privilege of knowing him, working beside him, and calling him family.

Those honoring him as pallbearers will be Chuck Ables, Chad Koffman, Shane Koffman, Kris Todd, Zack Jackson, and Jimmy Kelly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Jackson, John Hall, and James Teegarden.
