Funeral services for Ms. Melinda Gail Hammonds will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Espy officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.

Ms. Melinda Gail Hammonds, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Born in Humboldt, Tennessee, Melinda was the daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara Rust Rinks. She was employed by Builder Finish Products in Jackson, Tennessee, where she was a dedicated and valued employee.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Philip Sanders and his wife, Hope; her daughter, Carrie Davidson and her husband, Keith; her brother, Michael Rinks; her sister, Melody McGinnis and her husband, Rodney; and her beloved grandchildren who affectionally called her MeMaw, Kyle, Drew, and Alan Sanders, and Brilee and Presley Davidson.

Melinda will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends, and her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
