Emily Faye Thomas, 86, passed away at Medina Health & Rehabilitation after facing the cruel challenges of dementia. She was born in Humboldt, TN on November 16, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Sherman T. and Ruthie Mae Climer.
Faye was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Grandmother, Granny Faye, and Grandma Faye, and had the desire to see the world. Her most unforgettable once-in-lifetime trip was when she went to England as a chaperone with her granddaughter, Stephanie Thomas Boling.
She had a straightforward way of speaking and expressing herself that those who knew her will remember. She loved her flowers, food, and fun.
Faye was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Humboldt, where she has served as a church clerk, Sunday school teacher, hostess committee, nursery, and sang in the choir. She loved her church.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Delmus Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Emily Prince; four brothers, Charles Climer, Howard Climer, Billy Climer, and Jackie Climer; four sisters, Catherine Scroggins, Judy Walters, Barbara Sipes, and Mildred Warrington.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Beverly (David) Prince; sons, Steven (Donna) Thomas and Jeff (Tammy) Thomas; 5 grandchildren: Tyler (Jodie) Prince, Stephanie (Greg) Boling, Clayton (Joni) Thomas, Austin Thomas, and Blake Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren, Brayden Thomas, Porter, Millee and Collins Prince, Tatum, Knox and Graham Thomas, Avery and Easton Boling, Conner and Luke Thomas; sister, Martha Robison; brother, Larry Climer.
Graveside services for Mrs. Emily Faye Thomas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery, located in Humboldt, TN with Pastor Jake Fry officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the graveside to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Demential Association or Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1101 N. 22nd Ave, Humboldt, TN 38343.
